انہوں نے بتایا کہ ان کی گاڑی دارالحکومت اسلام آباد کے سیکٹر جی 6 میں ایک اسکول کے باہر کھڑی تھی جس میں اس کا ایک   موبائل فون گاڑی کے اندر تھا.
آبپارہ پولیس اسٹیشن کے اہلکار علاقے میں پہنچ چکے ہیں اور سی سی ٹی وی فوٹیج حاصل کرنے کی کوشش کر رہے ہیں۔ ایس ایچ او شوکت محمود نے بتایا کہ صحافی کی اہلیہ نے ابھی تک ان کی گمشدگی سے متعلق رپورٹ درج کرنے کے لئے درخواست داخل نہیں کی ہے۔  
صحافیوں کے ذریعہ ان کے مبینہ اغوا کی سی سی ٹی وی فوٹیج سوشل میڈیا پر شیئر کی جارہی ہے ، تاہم پولیس نے اس کی سچائی پر کوئی تبصرہ نہیں کیا ہے۔                                                                                                                                ۔
